Pierre Charpin

Pierre Charpin was nominated Maison et Objet’s Designer of the Year and will showcase his work in a self-designed hub at the fair in January. Charpin was recognized as Designer of the Year for the fair’s January edition on the basis of his vast portfolio of work across a number of the world’s leading brands.

Since the early 1990s Charpin has devoted himself to designing furniture and objects. In 1990 his first solo exhibition was held at the Galerie Perkal, in Paris, where he presented his research into the possibility of “anthropomorphic” furniture, and a series of silver tableware objects.
